Distractions happen every second, every minute of every day. Things or people who randomly pop up in the midst of a storm, struggle, uncertainty and even prosperity. Now some people are sent in our lives for a reason but we have to know if they are sent from GOD or not. We as believers have to keep our eyes open and ears clear to the Holy Spirit. I'm reminded of Peter walking to Jesus on the water. Peter asked Jesus to command for him to come to him and he did. Peter got of the boat and walked to Jesus. He had faith and kept his eye on his Savior. However, Peter noticed the wind and immediately began to sink in the water (Matthew 14:28-33). How quickly we get distracted when we take our eyes (focus) off of GOD. We want to be better in Christ. We want people to see Christ in us. We want to please GOD. We want GOD to take us higher and show us more but if we don't protect or guard our eyes and ears from the distractions of this world we can't expect to get where GOD wants us to go. So what is distracting you? What or who has your focus? What is the first thing you think about in the morning when you wake up? Is it GOD? Or someone else? Remember even partial obedience is still disobedience!
Hope you have a wonderful day and week. Love you!
P.S. I'm all about having accountability partners. If you're interested let me know. I love to be that person for you!
